Why I Like Beachbody’s Focus T25

October 10, 2013 By Chad 2 Comments

I’m a long time supporter of the Beachbody family of workout programs. I started with Power 90 and 10 Minute Training then moved on to p90x, Insanity, p90x2, Insanity The Asylum and now Focus T25. I haven’t had a gym membership since Nam. But seriously, I’ve never had a gym membership! I’ve always believed self-motivation when it comes to exercise and working out from home certainly requires that. You have every excuse right at your fingertips, but do you look past it all and push play?

Well I’ve just finished the first four weeks called Alpha Phase and started the second four weeks called Beta Phase. It builds on movements you learned in the first phase. The best thing I like about this program is that every video is only 25 minutes. They are, wait for it, focused workouts that get your heart rate up and going quickly. It’s so much easier mentally to know that you can get up, push play and in 25 minutes be completely sweaty, but also finished with your workout for the day. I have found it so much easier to make the daily commitment than with p90x or Insanity since they all longer than 50 minutes.

Here is a current photo. I haven’t lifted a single weight in at least 8 weeks.

I would highly suggest anyone looking to get in better shape, save some money by canceling your gym membership or just maintaining your current level of fitness to give Focus T25 a look.
